Quality inspection standards for aluminum doors and windows

In order to ensure that the technical requirements of exterior doors and windows are clarified in the process of project design, procurement, and construction, the performance requirements of wind pressure resistance, water tightness, air tightness, heat preservation, sound insulation, lighting, safety, etc. are met, and common problems in exterior doors and windows projects are avoided. Repeatedly, these ten key points of door and window quality control are worth seeing! These are the quality inspection points when the broken bridge aluminum doors and windows project is completed.

Front part: Quality control performance requirements for exterior doors and windows

1. Carefully choose the color of aluminum alloy doors and windows.

Mainly divided into two kinds of monochrome and wood grain color. General monochrome such as white, gray, wood grain color such as North American oak, South Asian rosewood, camphor wood, sandalwood, red sandalwood. In terms of the color of the paint surface, the color of the aluminum door needs to be combined with the decoration style and design of your home, so as to perfectly combine the harmonious atmosphere.

2. Choose aluminum alloy doors and windows made of healthy and environmentally friendly materials

During the purchasing process, you will definitely smell the smell from the doors and windows. Doors and windows made of inferior materials can damage the respiratory tract, leading to dizziness and headaches. High-quality aluminum alloy doors are made of high-quality, healthy and environmentally friendly aluminum profiles. The smell is light, and it usually doesn’t smell after a while.

3. Door and window details matter

Doors and windows with good details are equivalent to appreciating a carefully crafted handicraft. Its connection, colloid bonding, and extrusion processes are all products processed through multiple links and multiple processes. The treatment of details is related to the beauty and life of doors and windows. When purchasing, you must carefully inquire, select, and read the product manual to understand the forming process.

4. Focus on texture

Aluminum alloy doors and windows are the patron saint of a home. The quality is good or bad is to determine the value of a door and window. At the time of purchase, you can judge whether it is rough, cracked, or poorly colored by touching it. Regular brand aluminum alloy doors and windows, the manufacturer, place of origin, model, specification, etc. will be written on the label. Beware of buying counterfeit and inferior products.

4.1. Sealing requirements

4.1.1. Corner sealing strip (rubber corner): The sealing strip should avoid corner splicing, and the corner sealing strip should be designed as a 90-degree integral rubber corner.

4.1.2. Frame fan sealing strip: Three sealing strips should be designed for the opening fan part, respectively, the main sealing strip, the fan edge sealing strip and the frame edge sealing strip.

4.2. Anti-leakage requirements

4.2.1. Outer windows must be equipped with drainage channels, drain outlets, and vent holes (air pressure balance holes) to discharge water accumulated in the window frame. A buckle cover should be provided on the outside of the drain to prevent strong wind from blowing rainwater and dust into the window sash.

4.2.2. The heat insulation strip should adopt a C-shaped structure, and be on the same horizontal plane after compounding with the inner and outer aluminum profiles, so as to avoid leakage and corrosion hidden dangers caused by water accumulation at the heat insulation strip. At the same time, the length of the heat insulation strip can be increased to improve the thermal performance.

4.2.3. Door and window opening size: The structural opening should not be too large, so as to avoid the hidden danger of leakage caused by the difficulty of sealing.

4.2.4. Rebate: The window opening is due to special reasons, such as the outer wall is a stone curtain wall, and the reserved size of the opening is large. It is recommended to make a rebate for the structural opening, and the rebate should be poured at the same time as the concrete wall.

4.2.5. External window sills: For buildings whose external walls are painted, it is recommended to use metal window sills. The inner side of the metal window sill should be pressed into the window frame, and the outer side should protrude from the wall for dripping.

4.2.6. Window frame and structural opening: The window frame should be installed vertically. If it is installed on the outside, it should be retracted 20mm inward to prevent structural construction errors from causing the window frame to be installed outside the structural skin, causing rainwater leakage.

(3). Structural requirements of frame and fan

Corner assembly: Corner assembly is an important process related to the integrity of doors and windows.

Gluing process: under normal circumstances, the corner code + corner gluing process should be adopted, and the window corners are not allowed to be extruded without gluing.

Glue injection process: corner code + glue guide groove + glue injection hole + two-component glue injection + corner piece process can also be used to ensure the corner strength requirements and ensure that the finished doors and windows are free from deformation and displacement after transportation and installation. Appear.

(4). Thermal insulation requirements

1. The cavity design of the profile: the profile should adopt a multi-cavity structure to reduce heat loss. At the same time, the upper and lower parts of the outer window heat insulation should be coplanar to form an overall heat insulation surface, eliminate cold bridges, and block heat loss channels.

2. It is advisable to install heat insulation strips in the glass installation groove: increase the number of air chambers, reduce the heat loss between the hollow glass and the profile, and improve the insulation effect of the whole window.

3. The window sashes should be designed with T-shaped heat insulation strips: the window sash heat insulation strips are designed to be T-shaped, and overlapped with the middle rubber strip to realize the cold and hot partition at the joint of the fan frame. It is forbidden to put the intermediate rubber strip directly on the aluminum profile of the fan.

4. Polyamide 66 (Polyamide66, commonly known as Nylon 66) should be used for heat insulation strips.

5. Glass warm edge strips: Warm edge strips should be installed around the double-layer hollow glass cavity to block the heat dissipation channel of the glass cavity.

6. In areas with high heat transfer coefficient requirements, according to project positioning, heat insulation materials can be added in the profile heat insulation cavity to meet the K value requirements.

7. Outer door: The outer swing door leading to the garden of the residents on the first floor of the residence should have a threshold. It is forbidden to set no threshold, and the bottom of the door should be closed with a brush. Residential residents on the first floor of the residence have double-leaf side-hung outer doors leading to the garden. After closing, the two doors should be occluded and overlapped.

(5). Safety technical requirements

1. Glass buckle: The glass buckle should be installed on the indoor side. It is forbidden to turn the inward-opening window into an outward-opening window so that the buckle is installed on the outdoor side to ensure the requirements of anti-theft, safety, and glass replacement without leaving any hidden dangers of leakage. .

2. Locking points: In order to improve the wind pressure resistance and anti-theft performance of the outer windows, the outer windows should adopt multi-point locks. The lock point setting should meet the requirements of the hardware manufacturer’s design and installation manual.

3. The size of the outer door of the unit entrance should not be too large to ensure the reliability of hardware accessories such as hinges and avoid safety accidents.

Part II: Construction Requirements for Quality Control of External Doors and Windows of Buildings

(6). Frame construction

1. The gap between the outside of the attached frame and the wall should be even, preferably controlled within 10-15mm. The fixed installation position of the attached frame should meet the following requirements: the distance between the corners should not be greater than 150mm, the distance between the centers of the fixed pieces in other parts should not be greater than 500mm, and the distance between the center of the fixed point and the fixed point of the wall to the edge of the wall should not be less than 50mm.

2. Attached frame plug: the gap between the steel sub-frame and the main structure should be filled with dry hard cement mortar to ensure compactness, and it is strictly forbidden to use foaming agent to fill. Make “α angle (horoscope)” on the outside. Apply 1.2 thick waterproof paint.

(7). Installation and construction of the main frame fan

The main frame and window sash are processed and assembled in the factory, which can improve the processing accuracy, thereby improving the airtightness and watertightness of the whole window.

1. After the plug is completed, check the window specification, model opening form, opening direction, installation hole orientation and combination accessories according to the design drawings. If any deformation is found, it is strictly forbidden to install it on the wall.

2. Use regular gaskets to ensure that the gap between the aluminum alloy window frame and the steel sub-frame is ≤10, and make the peripheral gap even.

3. Check the verticality and horizontality diagonal of the front side of the aluminum alloy window frame, and report for inspection and evaluation in time after passing the test.

4. Main frame cleaning and outer frame glue

4.1. According to the regulations, use the neutral silicone thick-resistant sealant of the specified color to clean the 10mm range of the connection between the wall and the door and window with a brush and dry cloth, paste masking paper, apply glue, and smooth it with hands or tools. Under the masking paper, make local adjustments.

4.2. Note: When the exterior wall is finished with paint, the outer frame adhesive should be bonded to the base layer of the paint; when the exterior wall is finished with stone, wall brick, or aluminum plate, the material of the exterior wall finish cannot be stuck against the window frame, which is easy to prevent Apply window frame glue after leaving a gap of 2-3mm.

Eight, glass installation

1. Glass installation should meet the following requirements:

1.1 The glass should not be in direct contact with the glass tank, and pads of different thicknesses should be placed on the four sides of the glass.

1.2 Put the glass into the frame and fix it with a metal buckle.

1.3 The two ends of the aluminum alloy window buckle are spliced at 90° (or 45°), and the installation must be smooth and even.

2. The glass is fixed by double-sided gluing. The buckle, outer frame gluing surface, and glass surface should be wiped clean with a dry cloth before gluing. After gluing, let it stand for 48 hours.

3. Use finished rubber strips: install the rubber corners first, and the length of the rubber strips is 2 to 3mm longer than the actual length to prevent the rubber strips from shrinking after aging. Use special glue to glue the corners and strips together; it is strictly forbidden to use the method of cutting the strips at a 45° angle (without breaking).
